About Equipledge
Equipledge gives voters a way to express their political preference while directing more of their money toward the communities and issues they care about.
Participants choose the candidate they support, the amount they planned to give, an issue, a vetted organization working in that area, and what should happen to any unmatched portion. Campaigns do not select the organizations.
After a drive closes, Equipledge compares the opposing pledge pools. When equal-dollar amounts are matched, neither campaign receives those matched contributions. Each participant instead donates their own matched amount directly to the organization they selected.
Political campaigns often compete for attention through advertising, fundraising messages, and increasingly provocative content. Equipledge offers another response: remain engaged, avoid giving the opposing side an unmatched financial advantage, and put the money toward tangible humanitarian or community work now.
Equipledge does not ask anyone to change sides or abandon political participation. It gives voters greater control over their money and a way to act on both their political convictions and their responsibility to their communities.
