Equipledge collects the information needed to operate pledge drives, reduce fraudulent submissions, send personalized transaction instructions, and publish aggregate results.

Information we collect

Depending on the pledge flow, Equipledge may collect:

• email address
• state
• pledge amount
• candidate or pledge pool selected
• charity selected
• unmatched fallback selected
• Stripe or payment-processor reference
• required attestations
• completion status
• verification records
• audit records

Stripe handles card details. Equipledge does not store the full card number.

How information is used

Equipledge uses this information to:

• operate pledge drives
• calculate provisional matches
• send personalized instructions
• track transaction completion
• reduce fraudulent or duplicate activity
• publish aggregate results
• maintain required operational and audit records

Encryption and retention

The pledge side field and the political intent attestation field are encrypted at the application layer before being stored.

After the configured retention period, an administrator-run purge removes pledge-level side and political intent linkage for eligible pledges. The purge is audit-recorded. Until that purge runs, those records can remain linked to a user account.

Remaining records may include user email and state, pledge amount, selected charity, unmatched fallback, payment-processor references, donate-link events, audit records, aggregate totals, and published transparency records. These records are retained to operate the service, reconcile published results, investigate abuse, and preserve the public calculation record.

Analytics and advertising

Equipledge does not sell personal information.

The pledge flow does not include third-party analytics or advertising trackers in the application code.
